I'm planning on putting the gauge type instrument cluster in my 68 SS & I have a couple of questions. I have the complete gauge cluster assembly & instrument harness down to the fuse box. I was planning on adding the wires I will need to the exsisting bulkhead connector on the firewall side. I'm not certain about the ammeter wiring. I looked at the Corvette diagram & here's my plan--extend the black/white wire from the bulkhead connector to the hot side of the horn relay, and run the black wire from the bulkhead connector to the junction block mounted on the radiator support. I'll use the orange fusible links at the ends of both of these wires. Will this work? If it won't can you tell me what I need to do? TIA

Changed my mind--I think I'll run the black wire to the starter terminal instead. Thant's where the 'Vette wire goes & it'll be a shorter wire run.

Well I hope the plan to run the wires to the horn relay and the junction block works, because that is exactly how I wired mine. Have not energized it yet, but have been assured by several that the circuit is viable.

OK--it's back to the junction block then. I should remember that first impressions are usually correct!!
