I don't know if 68s have the same chrome piece at the bottom of the windshield that the 69s have, but mine don't park because the wiper blade has a groove the length of the blade and it catches on the edge of the chrome piece. :( Make sure you're not hanging up on anything.

did it ever park? You may have to take the arm off and adjust it so it is lower

I am guessing its one of these 2 things that could be the problem.

hey dennis somethings you need to check out , on the 68 and 69 which are the same , the hideaway wipers use a different swing arms and different wipers arm, also the little arm brakit that bolts directly to the back of the motor itself , all these piece's do not interchange , and after so many years this piece might have been inter changed, hence the reason why they dont go all the way down, but i have been where you are at now, and the only thing i can say is make sure your dealing with all the right parts , also the base plate which the motor mounts to , that might be the piece your missing, im sure someone will chim in and help you out, but im sure these piece although bolt together the dont belong to one another , gl

Mine wouldn't park either. I loosened the bolts that tie the wiper to the motor, shifted the bar back closer to the motor and tightened them up. No problem since. The bolts needed a little lube to loosen up. Pushing the blades all the way down helps to move the tie bar into the correct position. I believe this is the fix you need.

Are the wiper arms originals??
I know the reproduction wiper arms, especially the drivers side ones don't fit worth a damn!
