I have a '72 and I bought an aftermarket rotary wiper switch to put in a custom dash I made(http://camnick.home.att.net/dash.htm).I was just told that 68-72 Chevelle wiper motors are wired hot and get their ground from the switch. Is there anyone out there that produces a switch (preferably rotary), or is there one from a different vehicle I can use. I don't have that much room in back of the dash, so size of the switch is a concern. Any help would be appreciated
Just one thought. Older GM cars used a rotary switch. The body was grounded to provide the ground to the individual wires. Maybe something like that. You will need the mating connector and the large eyelet lug to ground the switch.
