Charlie, There are a set of contacts in the wiper motor that will allow it to run after it is shut off until it gets to the park position. It is possble that they are broken or dirty. My 64 does the same thing, but I haven't pulled it apart yet to fix it. When I do I'll let you know what I found. Philip

Charlie Check for good a ground at the wiper motor. One of the mounting screws should have a ground strap. With the switch on the path to ground is through the switch, with the switch off and the wipers not at park the path to ground is through the park switch and the ground strap. If the motor assembly is not grounded it will not park. Might also be the problim on the 64?.
