I've read on other threads of the hazards of removing original windshield and back glass. Taking this advice, I've attempted to find a service to remove and replace my glass before/after paint. Most don't want to touch it while others want $375 for the service. I believe I could break and replace for that!

Does anyone know or recommend a service in Houston? 290 and Beltway area?

Second, where do I go looking for a replacement windshield with internal antenna for a '69 Chevelle?

Thanks to all for your input.

First, pulling the glass is not that hard just very slow and painstaking. If you have all the moldings around the glass off and start slowly cutting the excess adhesive out from around the glass. Then with the help of a friend, use a wire to cut the adhesive and make sure the glass is loose before you push it out.

If you've got all the moldings off and have trimmed up the excess sealer, I could swing by and give you a hand. Going to need about 4 feet of thin wire and a couple screw drivers to use as handles. Bounce me an e-mail and I'll come by to take a look since I work at 290 and Bingle.
