Where to start? should I adjust the front, (door) windows first, or the rear, quarter, first, also when I get them where they seem to fit the best, then the front window is hard to roll up, and when rolling it up the front of the window will go all the way, and the rear of the window near the lock will stop about an inch short of making a good seal. the car is a 70 Chevelle, with all new rubber and felts. Thanks for any advice...

I started adjusting the rear windows first, then i adjusted the front. but i had to adjust both back and forth a couple of times to get it just right. you may have to adjust the front window back from side to side to keep it from binding. The rear window problem sounds like you need to adjust the stops higher. Hope this helps

I'm kind of in the same boat. My door glass in the up position comes too far back, towards the rear quater, and so the glass hits the metal edge of the rear quater instead of seating nicely on the rubber. I have the door panels off, but not sure which bolts to loosen and move to get the desired results.

The vehicle is a 67 malibu hardtop.

As you have aleady noticed, you'll undo previous adjustments if you do it in the wrong order, and you can work on it till the cows come home and still not get it right. My best advice is to get a Fisher Body manual. The adjustments have to be done in a certain order, and it's all outlined in this manual. I don't have the '70 manual, but maybe someone can scan these pages for you.
