Hey guys,

I have an all Wilwood setup for my brakes, and my parking brake only stops me from rolling backward. I can apply a small amount of forward braking if I really press the pedal hard to the point that it's tough to release, but something is clearly wrong. Has anyone seen something like this?

Is this a drum or disk set up?

Set the brake as you normally would, then check the tension on the cable by pulling it perpendicular (like pulling a bow string). If you can feel the brake engage further, your cable needs adjusting.

It's a disc brake with a drum-style emergency brake. Cable tension doesn't seem to be an issue. It gets tight, and it doesn't take much to stop the car from rolling backward. Forward, on the other hand, takes a ton of tension.

Disclaimer: my experience is limited to my drum set up.

From Wilwood...
"...The neatly hidden internal shoe system provides a clean installation with superior static holding power for parking. .."

Check the engagement of the shoe. Just speculating but it sounds like it is only engaging on one end of the shoe. Also jack it up and check engagement on both wheels (try to spin independently of the other) assuming both rear wheels have the e-brake.
