No. Absolutely Not. No $#@@@@% way. F**D seats of any kind and any year do not fit in any size, type, year chevelle or El Camino. Period. NADA. Nope. Never. Nuh-uh. NOT!!!!! Impossible. Can't. Won't fit. Don't work. Wrong track width. Ergonomically incompatible.

Well, you get the idea. ;)

(Ok, I really have no idea - sorry for the intrusion, I couldn't help myself)

You'll have to do a little fabrication, but if you have a tiny bit of imagination, you can make them fit.

You'll just have to explain your bastardized car to everyone, everywhere you go.

ROFLMAO

Is your bench so bad that you cant recover it for cheap? IF you do put those mustang seats in, be smart and get some sort of seat covers. OTherwise, like CJlandry said, you'll be explaining it to everybody that sees them in the car. Almost any seat will fit with some ingenuity, though.

5-point harnesses need to be attached to a roll bar or something else, but attached up high (shoulder height)... Therefore they shouldn't be able to really slide down much...

If you have 5-point harnesses attached to the floor, that is incorrect and unsafe, maybe less safe then using only the lap belts...
