this is way off topic but you guys know engines so.... Anyhow I have a bike going together for Bonneville. It will run APS/BG 1000cc. basically a drag frame and body with a turboed 1000cc KZ motor. I was thinking of running a magneto for the hot high RPM spark and reliability. The only mag I have run was on my old panhead and was wondering if some of you guys had ever used one. If you have what are the pros and cons.

I think MSD makes a KZ1000 ignition. Are you opposed to a battery? CD will not give as long as a spark duration as a magneto, but is the mag of good enough design for the task?
