I just cut the drivers quarter of my 67 and was wondering if there is a reason the left and right outer wheelhouses are not the same shape? Wasn't expecting to see two totally different shapes, I know the drivers quarter was replaced once already and at first I thought someone used a different year or model wheelhouse when they did the work, but I after looked at pictures on here it seems it is correct, just curious is all. Someone spent the money on an OEM quarter and then hacked it up, lap welded it into the door jamb, along the base of the sail panel and overlapped the trunk weatherstrip rail. I even found the original sticker.

No idea, I noticed that too on Curt's 67... seems one (left?) comes a lot farther back into the trunk than the other..

Correct, the left is square and the right is round....

I was just thinking that the quarter was probably changed a long time ago before they were priced what they are now. Didn't have the need for repops maybe back then.???
