I've been a Rod Serling fan for years and know there's many out there. Just wondering how many of you still watch "The Twilight Zone" and "Night Gallery". Many of you probably don't know, but Rod Serling wrote the original 1968 "Planet Of The Apes" also. If you'd like to share opinions or comments on particular episodes I'll be more than glad to share my opinions also.

Love the Twilight Zone. the Sci Fi channel has a marathon on New Years Day I believe. It's my tradition to sit on my ass and watch 6-8 hours of it. Now that you mention Planet of the Apes, it makes perfect sense.

Love both those shows! Especially the Zone.

Rod Serling - now there was a truly unique imagination. A real shame he died so young.

I used to stay up late on Saturday nights when I was 10 or 12 to watch Night Gallery - I remember one of them scared the living crap outta me! Even the opening theme/credits was creepy. Good times ... :D

It's very cool that this old stuff's coming out on DVD now - I'd much rather watch that than most of the crap that's on these days.

I love the Twilight Zone, but can't watch the episode where William Shatner is crazy and sees the monster on the airplane wing. It still creeps me out too bad.

I am a big Twilight Zone fan..love the episode where the old couple with the antique store find the 'ole genie in the bottle..their first wish is to have a million dollars..after awhile, the tax man comes and says they need to pay taxes and then they are broke..then for the 2nd wish, the old man says he want to be rich and in charge of a country where he never steps down and nobody can take anything away from him..his wish is granted and he is Hitler in the Reichstag bunker in April 1945..and you hear one of the aids say "my fueher..the Russians are outside the gate"
..his last wish was for everything to be like it was before they found the genie.

I liked the episode "In Walking Distance"..I am sure alot of us have wished we could go back in time to our youth..carefree days and no worries..I could watch it over and over..I also liked Deaths Head Revisited...shows that Perhaps Justice always comes but sometimes slow...any thoughts on these 2 ?

Oh yeah, I am a huge Twlight Zone fan. Two of my favorites are "The Obsolete Man" with Burgess Meredith as a man declared Obsolete by the state in which he lives and "The Changing of the Guard" with Donald Pleasence as an old college professor who doubts his own value until he is visited by some very memorable students. All very good stuff.

Many of the episodes are on YouTube too.

Not sure if it was either, but the episode where the guy gets the earwig in ear. Eats its way through and he's the first one to survive, but turns out its a female. jim
