Which starter wire dont I use when changing to HEI? The small yellow that goes to the coil? Which terminal on the solenoid does the bigger purple wire go to, "R" or "S"?
Thanks. Ron

You don't need the yellow.

"S" for Start. One thing to remember is both the yellow wire and the original resistor wire, the coil -, are still hot as long as the are in the bulkhead connector. It may be better to leave the yellow tied to the "R" terminal than to have it floating around down there. If you don't remove the original resistor wire, from the bulkhead connector, tie back and tape the old coil - end.

Thanks John, Thats what I needed to know. I'm going to pull the resister wire out of the bulkhead connector and just tape it up so it doesnt show, this is a brand new wireing harness and I want to keep it complete even if I'm not using everything.
