Which harness for rear

882 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Elree Colby
I want to change the wiring to the rear of my 69 but I'm not quite sure which one to order. I don't want to go from the steering column back just the lamp sockets in the trunk.
Thank you
Walter

Walter-

I replaced all the harnesses on my 72 SS, and got them all from NPD. Every one of them was in stock & at my door within days. Sounds like you need the "rear lighting harness" that plugs into the fuse block, runs along under the drivers side of the carpet, thru the side of the trunk divider panel, then plugs into the rear harness. If memory serves me right, M&H actually makes NPD's harnesses, and the prices are almost identical. Good Luck!

Elree-

I guess this is symantics, and I'm NOT picking a fight here, but was the wiring harness that leaves the fuseblock and travels under the carpet back to the trunk also referred to as the "intermidiate wiring harness"? Not sure if '69's had this seperate harness, but my 72 does, and I bought one from NPD. It then plugs into my "rear lighting harness" which is attached to the rear bumper & stays with it if removed.
