For my 71 Chevelle 454, I was going to order a set of Moog 5372 springs but then I noticed that there were other Moog springs that fit my application like 5374 and 5536. So, what's the difference in the springs? Is it just the spring-rate?

 Spring Rate: yes, but typically "Install(ed) Height" differs also. Additionally "Load" Rate can differ, as can "Bar Diameter." Go online and open a tab for each spring (search "Moog 5372", "Moog 5374", etc.). By switching between the tabs/springs you can compare them.

Most coil springs are the same height. It is the Diameter of the wire the coil is made from. The larger Dia. wire the stiffer the spring. You find a lot of different spring rates, A lot depends on the front or rear weight depending on factory Accs.--- A/C--P.S.--P.D.B.--H. D. cooling--Etc.
Bottom line,,, All 70s had the same ride height ( or real close).
A loaded LS-5 SS with every option availble had a real close ride height to a Malibu Cp. with a 3 speed and a 6 Cyl and no options.
