My '70ss has a 402 thats been professionally rebuilt and is making around 425 hp. Currently I'm running a Quadrajet but it doesn't idle too good and is hard to start. I want to get a brand new Edelbrock carb. I see Edelbrock makes Quadrajets that will connect correctly to my fuel line, vacuum lines, etc...They have several types of Quadrajets, which one do I get? What is the difference in divorces style choke and hot air choke? Does anyone have any experience with these types of carbs? Any info is appreciated!

Get an 800 cfm one that fits your STOCK application, imho.

BUT let me say that an electric choke will be easier to mess with IF you want an electric choke?

Please check me here guys.............................

PS., I think divorced choke has the stove in the intake... And look at tranny linkage too, (auto kick-down is all)...

I agree, especially with the comment about the electric choke. NOTE: a divorced choke can't fit most after market manifolds.

Zeke I'm running the 1910 model and love it. No bog to be found in it. Running this with UD 280/288 cam, 9.3 compression, 063 heads, 2 1/2 inch exhaust with ultraflow mufflers
