I was thinking about a new magazine subscription. I am curious to know what is popular. The news stand prices just don't make sense compared to a subsription. I did a search and found many opinions. I figured I would just ask for myself. What do you guys like and dislike?

Super Chevy, Chevy Hi Performance, Car Craft, Other ?????????????

None of the above listed. The only car magazine I subscribe to these days is Hemmings Muscle Machines. It seems to be the most well rounded, best written magazine out there today.

All the above you mentioned are nothing more than paid advertisements made to look like articles. Far too much advertising dollar influence to be considered unbiased. Plus there articles are all just recycled crap these days

Hey Kev: I get a few. Super Chevy. Chevy high performance. Car craft & Hot rod. A couple of these were gifts from my daughters. I really like the Hemmings mags also. Just like Jeff said above. its good one to get. But they do all makes. Not just chevys. Plus those mags carry me thru the long cold winter months. I used to take one or two to work. Or on a trip. makes time fly. Plus you can learn somethings. A lot of the stuff is too high end for me. But its nice to have around.

I subscribe to Hemming's Muscle Machines... Its my favorite (least complaints)...

I also subscribe to Popular HotRodding, but lately I have been become more and more annoyed by their blatant commercialism (ads disguised as tech articles)... Still "okay", but quickly becoming too much like the other magazines out there ( and the reason I no longer subscribe to any of those)...

Honestly, IF the rate went up, I wouldn't renew (its cheap enough now, so I'll keep it for a while)...

I don't subscribe, but I usually pick up Muscle Car review when I see it...

I just subscribed to CHP and Super Chevy after some kid at my wife's work was selling subscriptions. I'm not a huge Hot Rod fan as I am closed minded and will probably build Chevy's for the rest of my life, but if you see youself in a Dodge or Ford down the road it offers a bit more variety. If the kid wasn't selling the subscriptions I probably wouldn't have subscribed because there is much better pictures and tech info here on TC and it comes more than once a month.

I enjoy Hemmings and I have got Musclecar Review issues going back into the mid 80s. One I get in the mail is Musclecar Enthusiast. I have been getting it for a few years and am happy with the content. They cover many makes, plus they like the rare stuff. They will dyno a different musclecar engine every month and will document the changes in horsepower & torque with jet & timing changes. Any subtle deviations from stock are mentioned.

They cover all kinds of musclecars and are Chevelle fans. They cover restored cars but have tech articles for things like suspension & drivetrain modifications. Resto-mod is good!

Another vote for muscle car review or hemmings muscle machines.

Car craft and Hot Rod are really boring anymore.... The Hot rod deluxe mag is pretty cool though
