I just bought a power A-body bucket seat and want to install it in my 70 chevelle. I'm wondering how and where the orange "10 gauge" power wire hooks up. All I have now is a foot long wire coming from the seat with a plastic connector which won't reach anything. Did these originally hook to the fusebox" Ign" terminal with some extension harness, or was it an intergrated part of the dash harness?

Thanks, Jim

It can be connected to the BAT terminal on the fuse block. You will need an extension wire. The factory picked up power from the horn relay, through a circuit breaker mounted on the firewall near the brake booster/master cylinder.

Thanks Elree,

Sounds like the same type of circuit my convertible uses for the top. I think the donor car is still at the salvage yard, so i'll try to get the circuit breaker. I'm afraid the extension is probably gone or I would have seen it.

Thanks again.
