Ive been hearing alot lately about how autozone, orielly, ect are all crap. ive bought all my parts from them before for my chevelle and they havnt failed on me yet. but i do notice they are a little chintzy. Im on a tight budget so i cant be spending $500 on a distributor but i dont want ****ty parts. would i have to order online for better parts? or are there better auto parts stores?

Things i need are Headers, heat wrap for headers, Distributor Cap and Rotor, spark wires, spark plugs.

My experience has been that your best bet for header prices will be Jegs or Summit, but do your homework and make sure you are ordering the correct part.
I have heard some bad things about header wraps, but don't have personal experience with it.
For stock replacement cap, rotor, wires, plugs I suggest you call a couple of auto stores near you and get their prices, then chose the lowest, as I believe the quality on them will be very similar. I have had good luck in general with Napa stuff, but have bought from the others you mention as well.

Yeah, i just bought these headers from summit, i was going to get the hooker headers, but then i was thinking. i could use the $50 i save and get my spark plug wires. this is only to get my engine running properly so i have something to drive while i do a bench build engine for the same car. its going to be an expensive build, but im going to take it slow so i dont really have to worry about budget. so with that in mind napa, autozone, orielly, theyd do just fine for this situation ha.

header wrap is to save my FEET! haha. my floorboards are rusted out almost completely. I cut up the side of a dryer i found on the side of the road and riveted it in in place of my driver side floorboard :thumbsup:. On long drives the heat gets pretty uncomfortable. i thought header wraps would help. ?
