I'm looking for some ''454'' fender emblems for my '71 SS but in black instead of red. Does someone make them?...or will I have to buy new ones, strip them and have them refinished (powder coated) in black?

Thanks,

Claude. :)

I just saw that ''TRIM PARTS'' has some very nice metal (not plastic) stick-on die-cast individual numbers @ $17.55 each (x 6 = $105.30) A little expensive but if I can't find anything else, I'll probably ending up using these anyways. Also by the same occasion, I might as well order the correct digits to make some custom ''496'' emblems to match my engine's displacement instead of ''454'' that's on the car right now...What do you guys think?

The only think that comes to my mind is that the Corvette emblems seem more ''elongated'' than those on Chevelles...would that really matter or look out of place ?...and like I mentioned in my previous post, would it be a good idea to use the numerals ''496'' instead of ''454'' to match my engine size?

Gary, I think these look great but they're made of plastic instead of metal...:( maybe it's just me...and that shouldn't be a problem...I am not ruling them out yet and thank you for your suggestion, I appreciate. ;)
