I am looking at the internals to the bulb socket:
Positive contact pad(Looks like a Button, with a orange wire(Black Insulated, to the pad))
Male connector, on opposite end of the Contact Pad(Looks like a bell, with the male connector as the hammer).

I realize that I will have to assemble the Kit, but where can I procure the kit.

I have done this before, I have rewired all sockets, for a 77 MGB and if I can find those, then this should be easy.

Might have a tough time finding all the loose pieces. May be better off just replacing the whole harness. Think it's one of these. Check with M & H.

Steve, Let me look at work to see if there is something else that might work.

Wow John, it is not that bad yet(In the distant future, I will)
When it does go bad, I will be looking for:
07125 REAR LAMP HARNESS EL CAMINO, WITH BACKUP LIGHTS $105.00

But right now just need the “License Plate Light Wiring Kit”
Even if I procure a reproduction of the 64/65, from OPG, it is only 12+USD each..
I know the quality will not be there, so I will take the best of both worlds and make one good one..

John it is good of you to respond.

Leo, I was not dishing you, you just snuck in while I was typing.

Just hope you find the innards, I wander why they do not sell a Light kit for all of the Lights on a classic Chevy??
They do for the MGB's and they are a bigger pain in the "Arsch"..

Steve, The number I found is a push in bumper tag light and the Part# is 430w and it is a Federal Mogul # and my price is 2.39 and you might have to go to a heavy truck parts place to get it, I think that the pigtail will work for you.
