does anyone know where is the best place to get a reduction adapter(the one that fits between the tranny a cable).
thanx

As far as I know, those are dealer only items.
I went to all the local parts stores in my area and came up blank every time.
If I remember correctly, they are color coded for the different gear ratios

I have two. I don't know where to get them retail but have found them on trucks.
The manufacturers names are S.S.W.I.P 1.3000 :1 and Hubbard .833:1 P/N 6477865. Might try a web search and get a line on them if not try Tomas Register at the Library.

You can get several ratios from GM and any speedo shop that has been in business for a long time can make one up for you.

Check the speedo shops. In Chicago they will custom make one for your car for about $60. I brought the car in once so they could find out how much the speedo is off, and returned a few days later to have them pop it in. They could also send it to you, its a very easy job to intall.
