Hi - 65 Chevelle SS. I am test mounting 215x70x14's on 14x7 'stock' wheels from Grounds Up (want wide wheel but keeping the hubcap). Wheel & tire goes on/off fine. There is approximately 1 1/2 inches in the fender. Question is the lower shock mount is slightly 'inside' the wheel and approximately 1/4" (on the plus side) to the wheel. Is that clearance too close to the shock mount?

Thanks,
Geoff

Perfect - thanks very much for the heads up on the wheel weights. Sneaks by w/ under an 1/8" (this one has 1 weight on it) ... I guess I can have them play w/ weight size & location to get the most clearance if it comes to that.

OP

I was going to have this same problem

Solved it by getting 2 Round Headed Bolts from a Munroe SenTrac Shocks Kit

Put the Round Head of the Bolt where you have the Nut & Extended Bolt part

Lots of clearance then
