Looked at it in person today.... Very nice guy, but the car is rough. I've had $4500 project cars that had more potential. If I paid $15,000 for it, it would keep me up at night thinking I overpaid. This is a project car that needs a ton of work to be a cruise night car, much less perfect.

We must not be looking at the same car. The car I just saw looked pretty good.

I drove an hour and a half to look at it in person.

Holes in bottom of ds front fender in typical spot. Marker light not there due to being mudded over. Drivers door has rust holes in it. Both quarters fixed with patch quarters, not full. Inner and outer wheelhouses have rust issues. Rust and cracking filler around rear window. Hole at top of passenger quarter for aftermarket antenna. A $500 paint job from Maaco would be an improvement. Car is not straight at all. Both bumpers have pitting, etc. Stainless trim is typical of an older driver. Ivory interior has been sprayed black. The mentioned "polymer coating" is off the shelf truck bed lining, so that's what's been sprayed on the inner fenders and frame. Engine looks like it hasn't been touched in forever. Hi-low horns are brand new from Napa. Steering wheel incorrect, radio incorrect. Car is a big project, and needs everything.

We're looking at the same car. Not trying to be nasty, but if someone buys this car sight unseen, they're in for a rude awakening. I'm not a picky person, and love even the rough ones, but this one isn't a 23k car, or anywhere near it.

I can see that it has no parking/running lights in the front fenders just from the pictures. I saw this car in classifieds a few weeks ago and thought it was odd that they where missing and the description says "both fenders and hood where replaced with new metal"
I can see this car needing more work than what is described...and macs69 confirmed that.
