If I want a 4 door with power, I will still take a G8 GT all day long over that thing

Its 4 wheel drive, still want to take it on at the strip?
Sure, I will take my Trailblazer SS to the track, just to make it fair.

LOL I just read the write up in Car and Driver. 4346lbs, observed 16mpg, could hardly chirp the tires, 0-60 in 5.2 using two turbos on a v6. l:)

My neon runs that with a single turbo, 2.4ltr 4 banger, and 130 less hp. And it gets 20mpg. Yes that is stock, the way it came from the factory. The factory even has a stage 3 kit that puts it in the mid 12s.

But what I really have to know is why my 37 year old el camino with a 500hp 427 can get the same 16mpg as this new car in town? Besides the fact that the new car gets 20mpg highway, while my brick gets 22mpg.

Didn't Mercury Marine design that motor in the older SHO's? It's funny how Ford has to put blowers on stuff to make HP when GM can do it NA!
Just my thoughts out loud. :D Jody
