I have a 66 Chevelle 12 bolt completely rebuilt with Eaton posi, Richmond 3.73 gears, Moser non-tapered, non c-clip axles with c-clip eliminators, new Timken bearings, 1350 Yoke, solid pinion sleeve, and Alum support cover. It has 700 miles on it - no noises or leaks. I want to upgrade to something stronger with Ford axle bearing style retention. I am considering 3 options:

1) Sell my 12 bolt complete and buy a Strange S60 or
2) Sell my housing and axles/c-clip elims and install my gears/posi in a Moser 12 bolt housing with axles or
3) Sell my 12 bolt complete and buy a Moser 12 bolt with 33 spline axles.

My question is, What is my complete rear worth and what is my housing with axles alone worth?

Thanks in Advance,

Troutdog, The only heartburn I have with that plan is getting stranded somewhere (like the track at 10pm) with a lunched rear. The reason I wanted the Ford axle retention is to avoid issues with hard cornering on the street that I hear can be a big issue with the C-clip elims.

The casting number is on the center section of the dif (I think it's on the passenger side of the center, but I'm going by memory). There are also codes on the passenger side on top of the axle tube that specify year, gear and brakes, IIRC.
