Wondering what you guys thought. Sorry don't have too many specs on it. Seller did say the interior needs new carpet and the paint is not perfect. I am yet to see the car in person. Just wondering what value the 468 added to the car. Thanks.

It's a Malibu with a big block. That's all we know from the ad.

How's the body?
What's hiding underneath that newer blue paint?
What rear end does it have?
What was the quality of all the work done?

Could be worth 5 - 20 K depending on a lot of varibles.

Thanks for the reply Jimmy. I realize it is hard to estimate without actually seeing the Chevelle. I was more just asking that if in fact the body and other things are in good condition, then $12k would not be a bad price to be asking??

Several factors to consider. First off he seems a might high. Now if his 468 looks fresh & crisp and drives really well and runs great that will add value. But I'm guessing a sweep dash, bench seat, column shift, 350 turbo, 10 bolt rear with a 468 that needs freshened up with the interior needing work. Check for bondo around the wheel wells, the trunk drop offs and behind the front fenders, around the back glass. Look for rust in the trunk, trunk drop offs and the floor pan, under the bottom of the doors. Now if it has a good shape 468, buckets, console, 12 bolt pos, instrument dash, disc brakes and no bondo or rust its a bargain. Good solid car with a decent big block, maybe 8k with some of the above options maybe 10k, all of them buy it quick.

Thanks, I will definitely have to have an experienced mechanic check it over as I am not smart on all those things. I emailed the seller just now and asked him all the above questions. I will let you know his response.

Here is a reply from the seller:

"Engine probably has about 450 hp. Turbo 350 trans. Very little bondo.
All steel body but could use a few spot repairs and then blocking.
Bench seat.
Front disks and rear drums. Its still a project but wouldn't take very
much to make it awesome. You could drive it and work on it at the same
time."
