Searching then web I see several brands. Was wondering if one is preferred? Maybe Jesel?
Hey thanks I'm sure most are similar. Just thought one might be the hot ticket over another. Sometimes it works out that way.I have had good luck with my checking rods from comp cams.
I bought the Crane adj. checking PR's but afterwards wished I'd of bought some with the measurements on them, if no incremental measurements on the rods you'll also need a 12" caliper, I used a friends caliper to measure mine...a few different times lol![]()
I have used the comp with good luck , but I will say they have to be used with checking springs, they don’t like roller cam springs ask me how I know...lolSearching then web I see several brands. Was wondering if one is preferred? Maybe Jesel?
You have a hammer and a vice don't you? The threads will straiten after repeated use...I have used the comp with good luck , but I will say they have to be used with checking springs, they don’t like roller cam springs ask me how I know...lol
Shoot Rick, you wore your threads out on your length checkers. 😆Id think using some 3/4" wood on each side of the jaws of a vice would straighten your bent PR checkers well enough to use again, I do know for a fact that doesn't work trying to reuse bent PRs lol
