Last weekend I attended the Factory Stocl/Factory Fast Drags at Englishtown, NJ. The event was a great success and they had a nice car show with awsome trophies and a great raffle giveaways.
The question is I have a stock Chevelle 327 with 179,000 miles, 4 spd T700 auto trans with 2400 stall convertor, non posi rear on radials and ran consistant, fastest time 16.05. What small mods can be done to get a quicker ET??

Well thats easy. It all depends on how much you want to spend. I would start with an intake, carb, headers, and maybe some 3.73 gears in the rearend and an HEI distributor.

350 Chevy horsepower cam is a nice mod also - runs strong - decent gas mileage - good lope to the motor.

Correct, i used to have a 327 in my 70 chevelle. Was running mid 15's. Went to a 2400 stall converter, 3.55 gears posi from a 2.73 open, new ignition, and cleaned up the timing curve and carb jetting, went 13.9 @ 99 Could have gone faster but that was on radials, now its time for the BBC and some traction
