There is a old post dating back to 2013 asking this question about what it was made of and wondering what the stock one looked like. Appreciate the help.
3m strip caulk might work, roll it out flat before installing and hand pull the excess off so not to scratch the paint after snugging it down, or inner tubes work well for gaskets. Just my .02 your mileage may differ.
on my 66 i went to the hardware store and got a roll of rubber weatherstripping for house doors.it comes in black or white and different widths think i used 1/4 inch and is a pretty dense foam and has adhesive on one side,just peel the backing and stick it on.
