Somewhere in the past 3 years since I removed my steering wheel I have misplaced the nut that holds the wheel on the shaft. (But I still have the washer, go figure??!!) Rather than go through the hassle of attempting to order one, does anyone know what size this is so that I can just pick one up locally?? Thanks!

Try a Chevy lug nut on backwards. I think it's 7/16 fine thread.

I think it's 1/2"-20. You can still get them from a Chevy dealer. I bought one the other day for my 64 C10. P/N 124934

I just picked up one at a salvage yard. The guy wanted to give it to me but I threw him a couple of bucks. I think they used the same size nut for many years. The one I got came off of a 59 impala wagon.
