whats up guys i wanna run the fuel line before i put the body on the chassie and wondering what would be the best fuel line size i should go with, i got this fuel pump

750 carb, and going to install a fitting on the bottom of the tank,
motor 396/402 camed,

I would think a 3/8" line would suit your needs

Hey Mike,
When I built my 68 SS it had a 402 punched out to a 408 with a decent cam and 750 carb. I started with the simple 3/8" hose but did swap that out to the larger braided 1/2" and noticed a big difference. I would personally go with the 1/2" seeing as how your pump is capable of 172 gph, would rather it have plenty of fuel vs. run the pump thin and possibly cause it to wear on the pump itself or the seals inside it. Just my $.02

3/8" will get it done, no improvement here when going to -8AN using a Comp140 electric pump.

i think ima go with the 1/2 line, point less getting that big pump to use a lil line, bb, big pump, big line,

There are some 1/2" sending units that you can buy, or you can make one, too, rather than have the fitting sticking out of the bottom of the tank.
