Eastwood is having a 20% off sale on paints and chemicals so I'm stocking up for all my winter projects. One of those projects is new KYB shocks. I'd like to try to make the KYBs look like OEM shocks, (as much as possible anyway). What's the correct color for an OEM shock on a 70 SS?

Okay, this is my secret tip of the day...shhhh

Go to K-mart and buy a can of Krylon Grey sandable primer. Spray the shocks in the primer. Then buy a can of Krylon Satin Clear and spray this over the Primer after it has dried of course. You will now have a nearly exact match in look to original shock grey and alot cheaper than the "shock grey" paints out there....BONUS:; No S&H

Key is to not buy one brand primer and another brand Clear, always keep the same brands and make sure you get the Satin Clear.

Have fun and wear a mask!
