Hey guys, I am looking at resolving my rubbing issue with my wheels. I have a 15x10 inch wheel in there right now with an old school 265/50/15 tires on them that is spaced out to far, I have air shocks on there now so it doesn't rub on the fenders when I hit a good bump. I would like to go to a 275/60/15 tire and get a little more height, tuck it in the wheel well better, and get the correct backspace.

A guy through work has a set of original corvette rally's 15x7 front and 15x8 rear with trim rings, caps, stems, lugs, the whole shooting match he will sell me for $150. Now do these original factory wheels have enough backspace in them, ie 4.5 inches, to be able to fit a 275/60/15? I know the tire will fit on an 8 inch wheel, but want them to set in there right. Thanks!

Original AZ code 8" ralley. 4" backspacing. Don't think they will help you any. I bought reproduction ralleys. 7" wide with 4" bs for the front and 8" wide with 5" backspacing for the rear. This lets you use the same depth trim rings on all four.

yup, I have original wheels on my 71. 15x7 and 15x8 on the back, with original rings and caps. I have 275-60-15 on right now. No problems at all and fit nicely. I have been offered $300 just for the original caps alone, so $150 would be a great deal.

Awesome guys, so it looks like a 275/60/15 should fit fine then on my 70 chevelle using a 15x8 corvette rally. Either way $150 for the wheels is a steal. I am picking them up on saturday.
