So what year Chevelle SS has the best looking rear end. I’m talking about from the trunk lock down. If you looked up and saw a Chevelle driving away. I selected the SS model as some have differences compared to non SS models.
As with the front end I picked a year that is not among my top year in overall favorite years.

Well I voted for the 72. I know 71 and 72 are very similar. The only difference that I know of between the two is in the lenses. So are there others?

The front pairking lenses and the grills are the only exterior differences.

Funny how Dean and I are both 1969 fans/owners.....but really like the 71/72 rear end.
I love the tail lights and while off topic, the deck stripes....if so equipped.

Yep, the OP is a 69 owner as well that voted for 72 as best rear end.
There is a slight difference in the tail light lenses between 71 and 72. On the inboard tail lenses the 71 has an extra white ring that the 72 doesnt.
