Would be nice with some advice, from you all..
I have got a 1990 Chevrolet Silvarado 454 SS pickup truck..
I need som good advice.. I whant it more competent on the strip, but easy driveble allso..
Im looking to buy some new aluminum heads and a intake manifold.
I think that a EDl performer airgap 2 would be suitable, but i woild like to hear what you would do..
Tha cam is not mild, but also not aggrissive.
And what will fit..? Heads and manifold...? easy fit..?
By the way, its got headers and it should accomendate a Fitec injection carb.

One thing I did on a 1986 gen IV 454 when I was putting on 1969 "063" heads with 2.19 int. & 1.88 exh. valves was used a 2.35" Isky piston valve notch tool to widen and deepen the valve relief for the larger intake valve to keep from piston/valve contact but I used modeling clay from a craft store to check the clearance first to find if it even needed to be done first, mine did, and I was also told by members here to be careful not get too close to the ring land (y)

Nothing wrong with the heads you have. The 360 castings make for great performance. My set has gone 11.26 with them. Sure aftermarket heads are the easiest way to go but a good cam, the Air Gap and a 650 to 750 along with a free flowing set of 1 3/4" headers will make that truck perform well.

If new heads, what then to choose..
Race Rides by Brodix or..? Accompanied with a Airgap..?
If you choose race rites I think you need to have them angle machined to get them close to 100cc will cost more money vs edelbrock 454-O 100cc’s.
But yes they will work but I would order them with 2.19” intake valves.
Edelbrock 7651 or 7161 intake.

Airgap or airgap dualplane.?
The only Air Gap I know of is the dual plane that Edelbrock sells but the RPM performer will make the same power. All other single planes I guess you could use that term if one would like, as the open area under the plenum has been around for a long time.
