I converted my 65 Convertible from column shift bench seats to floor shift bucket seats. Sine there was nothing there, I don't know what hardware was used to hold the console to the floor. Does anyone know? It is not clear in my old assembly manual.
Thanks

Thanks. I have the 2 brackets that the console screws into, then it screws to the floorboard. You are right. They are very cheap thin brackets and I had to bend them to get them to fit the contour of the hump. I can't figure out what screws to use to mount these brackets to the floor. The best I can see is GM # 9420065. It is in the assembly manual, near the hole by the console bracket, but no arrow or anything. When I look up this number, Classic Muscle comes up and the screw reads " Carpet Guard Mounting Bolt 1969-1972 Chevelle. Hmmmm?
