I'm usually against bed covers on the El Camino, but that one looks pretty nice (custom). My only reservation would be drilling the holes to install it.
Same here.

I contacted the company about these covers a while back. While not waterproof around the edges, they do tidy up the bed area and make the vehicle a little more aerodynamic. I'm considering one.

I like the way it fits flush with bed, not above like the others I've seen before. It does offer kind of like a 'huge trunk' for car shows, cruises and stuff. With my 'nice' El Camino, I'm not going to be hauling stuff around anyway.

Just wondered if anyone here had one or had seen one in person.

It looks pretty good. I like it. But holding on with bungees is sort of wierd. Also, if it was made of fiberglass, I think it would like it better. im not too crazy about vinyl for a cover.
I considered replacing the vinyl cover with an bead-rolled aluminum cover. Make one out of .065 thick sheet, paint it,and you're good to go.

Thats a great idea, you could bead roll it in cool ways to keep it stiff, even put on a teamchevelle logo or El camino something or other. Sounds like that would be the way to go. I also dont like the way it is just held down with bungy chords. Seems there should be a better way to go.
