We all have Chevelles of some variety in our garages, but what are you tinkering with? I think we all have a need to fiddle with something. Maybe it's another car. Maybe it's a kitchen remodel. Maybe it's your fishing gear. Maybe it's actually your Chevelle.

I recently got mine back on the road after what should have been minor changes to the exhaust, new headers and mid pipes. I really like the improvement in lack of interior noise, but I'm still in the shakedown phase after basically pulling the engine, and making some other changes. My re-routed oil line for my aftermarket gauge is leaking and making a mess.

Too many things and each only as the weather, time, money, or parts permit. No room in the garage to work on the Chevelle so I can only work on it outside. Working on building a shed to alleviate the space issue but we've received so much rain so frequently that the backyard pretty much stays a swamp. Truck needs work, trying to nurse it along until I can put the engine in the Chevelle and pull the one in the truck. Also stockpiling the parts to fix my trailer which will be getting an extensive renovation.

The chevelle I'm working on getting parts to get it on the road this year and to swap the driveline someday.
I have a s10 that has an ls and 4l80e that will go into the chevelle, someday. Have the valve body off that to replace a trans brake solenoid and repair the harness. The garage is not heat so waiting for it to warm up some to put it back together.
And debating what house projects to get done this year. Top of the list is to replace the main exterior door.

Remodeling a bathroom. Hopefully I'll get back to building the LS for my Chevelle soon so I can sit it in the car and finish the mock up. I need to make sure everything clears, finish the fuel lines, intercooler pump, cold air intake, work out the wiring, etc.

I'm working on taking an ugly 41 New Yorker and trying to make it look cool.
Only one problem. Don't think I will ever finish tinkering before getting a chance to drive it.
But at least, I'll always have something to play with.

I'm switching tail pipe tips. I have a Pypes 2-1/2" mandril system. No X or H pipe. Dynomax 17749 Super Turbo mufflers. I have turn downs pointed towards the ground under the rear fender.
I'm going to run rolled tip, straight tail pipes about 3" past the bumper.
The present turn down tips send exhaust fumes against the garage walls and into the house, I'm thinking the sound will be slightly louder too.

Ok not nearly as cool as most here, but the 67 trunk is finallly near done ( one little patch left - and excuse the splatter paint test) . Gray POR15 makes an excellent coating for a 60 year old trunk that may have had leaks since birth!

Choosing new tires. I'm staying with BF Goodrich radial T/A's, and needed new P235/60R15's up front. Debating whether to change sizes in the rear from P245/60R15 to something taller/ wider...next up is a new 3 gauge cluster for voltage, water temp, and oil pressure, followed by re-jetting the Edelbrock 1910.

Mark, I've grown fond of the big /little look myself. Poo'boy move initially as all I could swing are a set of BFG DR's in 275/60/15. They filled the rear wells very very nicely. Folks though the car was tubbed in fact.

Jerry , Nice move. Poo' boy here replaced the chitty Sylvia bulbs with Phillips "cat eyes" that actually work in my tail. Intrigued by LEDs.
