Removed the deck filler panel yesterday. Getting to the spotwelds seems to be difficult.

Here we go!

Suggestions and halp needed.

Hopefully the inner wheelwheels are in decent shape. A lot of support goes there. Obviously a full trunk with braces is a must and then you can work on the rear deck lid and divider. Make sure the trunk lid spring assembly and mounting bracket remains true to how it was built to avoid gap issues later.

During the prior 3 or 4 years that package tray sub panel part has become available for 66 and 67 coupes.

I think that I would try to complete the install with the trunk pan off the car. It's really tight under there with lots of spot / plug welds.

Do i have to remove the trunk torsion rods?

I am starting with the package tray, as I have it. probably cut enough of the trunk floor so I can stand in there, but keep enough for alignment.
