The build is a 496. Looks like I'm getting 1.1hp/ci. Was hoping for 1.2 to 1.3. But looks like its going to be a torque monster. The goal was to be streetable on pump gas. Pistons are flat top, stroke 4.25, mild cam (don't recall the lift specs) hydraulic and hyd. lifters, ported edlebrock performer rpm heads and rpm intake, demon 850.

I have a th400 and 4.11 rear. Thinking about a higher gear for the rear (3.55 maybe). Otherwise I'll be burning out like a P/U on wet pavement.

^^^^ sure. BTW, my intake is pretty short as I want to tuck it under the original hood (71 mailbu convert.).

Had a place called bowers racing engines build it. I'm one of the few who actually got presidents day off and went down to the shop and they let me help build it.

isnt it a nice feeling , i just got mine to and im still excited
I couldn't tell ya. I haven't driven it yet. Fastest motor I ever had was that 260hp 350 I used to have. :D

Only been waiting since last October. We had a rough winter here so I wasn;t to pushy about him hurrying it up. Now it's finally driving season and my wife is going to take a job in phx. So now I go from winter straight to afterburn summer time.
