Hi guys, any idea why my gen light would quit working in the "acc" position?
Was working fine till the other day, comes on like it's supposed to w/ key
in the on position and goes out when I start the car, just doesn't come on
in the acc. position. Any ideas on where I should start looking?

Yr of car??? Internally or externally regulated alternator? I don't think the GEN light is supposed to come on with the key in the ACC position. When the GEN light is on without the car running, it just means the charging system is getting power.

it's a 66 w/ internally regulated alternator.

Does it still come on in the on position? Could have been the IGN switch. With a internally regulated alternator it should not be on in the ACC position.
