Maybe a couple pounds by the time you finish sweating and cussing over the weight of the cast iron heads. Figure you'll burn a few thousand calories and miss a meal or two... :D

Difference between a BBC -990 GM cast iron head and a Dart Pro I 325cc aluminum head is 35 lbs. ;)

You would be amazed at the differance of a Big Block/Small Block with aluminum components as opposed to cast iron pieces. When pushing the engines around the shop on an engine stand the differance is amazing. If you build with a set of aluminum heads, water pump and intake over the cast iron pieces, big weight savings. And remember, this will be a weight savings on the front of the car. :D
