We did some fuel testing with the Camaro, 11.5:1 406cid

VP C12 and another brand fuel {Brand X}, Gravity was very close to being the same so they should have been pretty close

C12 ran a 10.48, Brand X ran a 10.57, Drained carburetor and cell one last time and Brand C12 ran a 10.49 so it was a good valid test, same water and trans temp and same launch RPM

The VP C12 also was a cleaner low rpm running than Brand X, We didnt do any jetting or anything, Just drained the carburetor and cell and changed fuels, We kept the float level consistent with a mark on the carburetor beside the sight window with both fuels and fuel pressure

If you have a chance to try VP and you use something else, Go for it, VP has been on board for ALL of our NEW BEST ET's and thats why we wanted to do this test

You use 2 gallons of fuel per run?

I use slightly less than 1 gallon per.

While some of the race fuels may sound expensive, if you choose the right one that provides more power, it's cheap HP.

My car is slightly less than a tenth quicker using VP113 compared to C-12. The VP113 was $20/drum cheaper than C-12.

On a car like mine running mid 9's, figure on spending a minimum of $1000/tenth, more than likely closer to $2000/tenth on a well sorted car.

No not in one run, with warm up at the shop and warm up at the track its an estimate, we use probally close to a gallon per run with burnout and 1/4 run and driving back down the return road

The price increase of the VP is worth it per gallong for the increased performance, We also have some VP113 we are gonna do a back to back test with, How many jets did you go up with when using the VP113 from a C12 tune up ?

Currently up 3 sizes F&R. Need to try 1 or 2 more to see how it responds. It's borderline lean right now. Might be OK for the summer, but probably need richened slightly come fall.
