This may not sound like a good topic for a car site, but after a little thought I can tell you that I've eaten many a chip while working on my car just to stretch out the meals a little further so I don't have to go in the house and eat. My favorite chip is the standard barbecued Lays. What're your favorite chips? I realize I can't cover everything here because of the 10-poll limit, but I will try to name the most popular ones that come to mind.

Your right about chips and late nights. My old staple for all-night paint sessions was Wavy Lays and Frito Lay jalapeno cheese sauce. Kept me awake until about 3 AM when will power had to take over!

My all time favorite chip, however, is Cape Cod regular potato chips. They aren't very easy to find down here, so I buy a bag every time I see them. :D

You needed an "other option" As a kid in Canada It was Hostess Roast Chicken or ketchup potato chips. Cheetos are a fall back along with Nacho Cheese Doritos. as of late though it is Kettle Crinkle Cut Salt and Fresh ground Pepper. The Yin and Yang of spice. it says so right on the bag. :D

Been trying to limit the chip intake to camp trips and such.

This might sound weird but a love the taste.... Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream chips dipped in medium cheese dip. Also love, tortilla chips and salsa, and it may not be a chip, but snyders hot wing flavored pretzel pieces.

I tried those when I was "up north" one time - just couldn't get into 'em!

My favorite 2 kinds are the kettle chip salt & pepper, or the wavy lay's cheddar & sour cream.

Try Cape Cod dark russet w/ bacon horseraddish dip. You will be hooked. They recently came out with a few new flavors and they are very good!

I went with Doritos just because thats what is here when I get home. Im more of a pretzel guy though. Its very true, I think I have eaten more chips and pretzels in my garage than eaten actual meals when Im working on the car.

Original Lays followed by Cool Ranch Doritos.
Just surfing TC at work and just now polished off the other half bag of Cool Ranch Doritos myself. How one can just have a few chips in one sitting is beyond me. I cant find myself to vote as those are all great. Accept for the Cheetos Puffs. I dont like the puffy style cheese curl snacks.

Poore Bros. Potato Chips are all good but one flavor is to die for. Eaten an entire bag in one sitting more then onece. Sweet Maui Onion.
