I think they are different. The sail panel area is different. The roof and back glass are the same. If you measure you will find that the longer side pieces of the gto are about 2" longer than the chevelle. No sure; but either olds or buick is the same as the chevelle.
James,
Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for some vinyl top moldings for a friend's GTO. Do you have any idea which cars will interchange. I have talked my friend into putting a vinyl top on his goat and I sure would hate to mislead him. I've had no luck searching evilbay. Any leads would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rusty
I think the long side pieces are all about the same length, but on Buicks the forward end is shaped different to mate up with the wide trim piece that runs beneath the side windows. Chevelles don't have that wide trim, so the end is shaped to match the shape of the quarter glass opening. I think Pontiac is like Buick; not sure about Olds.
Jeff,
Thanks for your reply, we're slowly narrowing it down to what may interchange. Most of the other A bodies seem to contour a little different where the sail panel meets the upper quarter panel, but I'm not positive. Any one with more suggestions ?
Thanks,
Rusty
