Hi,

So, trying to figure out a VIN / Engine date match.

T0711CRV = July 11, 454 / 450 with manual transmission
13670R233XXX = Arlington-R, March 1970
Block casting 3963512
Casting number 291
POA18 = Feb 1970

Based on the above, no way this would be the original engine etc?

THANK YOU.

Welcome to TC.
Does the partial VIN on the block match the cars VIN ?
Your showing 3 dates.
July 11 on the engine stamp
March 70 for the car ? That off the cowl tag ?
Feb 70 for what -the trans ?
What's casting number 291?

If the car was built in March ,then the July engine stamp would make it a non match.

Seems like this car has been discussed here at some time....

The engine was proposed to be the original. THere is no way it could be. Not even a warranty replacement, as those would be coded CE. The 291 is the correct head casting. The P0A18 is the trans code, January 18th. 1970.
