Anyone ever use VHT Penetrating Vinyl Dye? If you have, what did you think about it, has it faded, what color did you use? The reason I am asking is because I want to order the saddle tan color to dye some interior parts of my 72 Chevelle, which is the original tan.

If anyone has any other suggestions (with part #'s) please let me know. I need it as close as possibly to the original 72 Chevelle tan.

Black in a Chevelle and burgandy in my Monte SS no fading and covered very nice
What were the original colors on the Chevelle and in the Monte SS? I am going to try to go from dark green to tan. Do you think it will be ok?

I've used VHT and Marhyde dyes, and never had problems..gone blue to black, red to black, etc. no problems, even on steering wheels.Always use a vinyl prep though..it opens the pores up.I have never used the penetrating VHT though..probably just a marketing ploy :D

I used omni pak lacquer blend, purchased from npd i believe, to do a two tone. the seat was black now it has dark green stipes looks great, but i havent installed it yet so i couldnt tell you if it will fade. i plan on keeping it protected and never realy giving it a chance to fade.
