My dog got it 7 years ago, I think it has returned. Any one use pet meds and what is the going rate for for the meds. I think he was on fluzonacal or something like that. I need to take him to the vet so I can get a script, $90 to tell me what I already know.

The meds used to treat it are listed in here. But keep in mind there are other conditions that have very similar symptoms and if misdiagnosed it can lead to very serious results. My advice. Bite the bullet and take your friend to the Vet!

Good advice....symptoms might be similar but the Pooch cannot tell ya how they actually feel. Also 7 years have passed. Other treatable illnesses can now be in the picture that were not on the radar way back when.

True it can be another illness.I am taking him when I get off work. I am pretty sure its vf though. He has really bad swelling in his left knee, walking on 3 legs no energy. This would be the 3rd time with it. Hes been digging in the yard for a cool place to lay. Weird has it affects the same place each time.

If you read the link they explained that once treated there should be an immunity to any "new" infection but the old one may re-emerge again at some point.
