I ordered these V-band clamps to be welded on my exhaust after the mufflers so that I can drop & Reinstall the front half cleanly if i ever need to pull the transmission for some reason.
Arrived today... I've never seen these up close before and I'm very impressed. The little machined male/female lip on the inside to guarantee they line up is also a nice feature.

Where did you get those? I have some but they don't have the lip.

Nice clamps. I considered that type for mine. I’m thinking they would be easier to install if they didn’t have the little lip. Reason being they have to be positioned exactly before they will go together and allow the band to be installed. Might be kinda hard to engage the two halves when on something not very flexible as headers and X pipe. Without the lip they can be slightly mismatched and installing the band and tightening will match them up perfectly.
