I just installed a 94 amp alt in my 71 B/B, needed extra power for upgrades, did not buy the change over wiring kit(john I know you told me about one)
hooked it up and it charges(after you tap the gas once)found out after unhooking old remote regulator that I no longer have power on the blue wire to alt like I hade before. found wire that comes on with ign. on and jumped to blue wire, now it is very dim with test light. also does not seem to charge a great amount with lights, heater, radio on, do I need to change bat wire ?
Thanks Rob...

If you removed the external regulator, get rid of the blue wire altogether and connect the BROWN wire in the harness to the 'L' terminal on the alternator. This is the wire that runs through your idiot light.

You should also have connected the 'S' terminal on the alt to a power source, the most convenient being the Bat terminal on the alternator.
